The Story Behind Precise Truck & Equipment

Precise Mechanical Repairs was founded in 2019 by Jeff Whitworth, following six years of experience working in dealership environments. Motivated by a desire to bring greater integrity and positive change to the automotive industry, Jeff launched his own shop with a strong focus on honesty, quality workmanship, and building a supportive workplace culture for his team.

In 2023, the company expanded with the opening of two new locations in Downtown and Applecross. Growth continued in January 2024 with the addition of a fourth location in Parksville, following the acquisition of Kerry’s Car and Truck Centre.

In 2026, Jeff is proud to launch Precise Truck and Equipment, a specialized branch of Precise Mechanical Repairs focused on medium-duty trucks and service vehicles. This new division marks an exciting step forward in the company’s growth and strengthens its commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality service to an even wider range of customers across the community.

A Dedicated Home for Working Vehicles

Today, Precise Truck & Equipment operates from an 8,334-square-foot facility at 1718 Kidson Road in Nanaimo. The shop was developed to provide specialized inspections, maintenance and repairs for work trucks, commercial vehicles and truck-mounted equipment across Central Vancouver Island.
